New County Extension Faculty
Professional Development Training
Florida Extension requires new county faculty to attend two state level trainings during their first year of hire. These trainings relate to program development and evaluation and teaching techniques. New county agents attending new faculty training must attend a session A training before they can attend a session B training. These are mandatory trainings that will supplement CED/DED training and information provided by your mentor. If you are a 4-H agent you should check with your RSA for those dates. They generally come immediately before or immediately after the state Extension trainings.
State Extension Trainings for 2011-2012 include the following dates:
- New County Extension Faculty Training - Session A August 9-10, 2011
- New County Extension Faculty Training - Session B October 11-12, 2011
- New County Extension Faculty Training - Session A January 31, 2012 -February 1, 2012
- New County Extension Faculty Training - Session B May 8-9, 2012
